Suzanne graduated from Otago University in 2009 and made the move to Southland to begin her career at Eastern Physiotherapy. In 2015 she took over ownership of the clinic and in 2016 completed a post graduate certificate in acupuncture.
Suzanne is passionate about working within the community she lives in and supporting people through their recovery and rehabilitation process. Suzanne likes to incorporate the use of exercise prescription, rehabilitation protocols and hands on soft tissue and manual therapies to restore function. Diagnosis, education and problem solving are all important principles to how Suzanne operates.
Outside the clinic walls Suzanne has played high level sports and therefore enjoys assisting athletes returning to sport. In her weekends she will often be competing in equestrian sports such as show jumping and eventing and enjoys the comradery, competitiveness and dedication the sport provides.

Abby

Physiotherapist

BPhty, Member of Physiotherapy New Zealand

Abby was born and raised in Southland and Otago and has been working in the Gore community at Eastern Physiotherapy for 18 years. Abby enjoys the rural community and working with the families and workplaces of Eastern Southland.

Working in a rural health setting requires a broad knowledge base and competent problem solving, which Abby relishes alongside the use of hands on manual therapy. Abby believes it is an honor to listen to and assist people when they are in need and have reduced quality of life. It is her prerogative to restore this quality and function as quickly as possible drawing on her years of clinical experience.
Outside physiotherapy Abby enjoy sports (especially volleyball), being creative and playing music.
